Cypher is a Chrome extension that provides additional combat-related data when playing Granblue Fantasy in your browser. In other words, it's a damage tracker/dps meter/parser. It is NOT a macro tool, cheat tool, bot, or even a convenience tool -- because Cypher strictly does not interact with the game window for safety reasons.

Cypher runs as a small, separate window that passively parses network data that's sent to your browser when playing Granblue Fantasy. It then updates the window with data in realtime.

Yes, the extension only passively listens to data that your browser receives from Granblue Fantasy's servers. It does not make any additional network calls to their servers. All processed data is stored locally on your computer, so rest assured that it's safe to use.

And if that's still not enough reassurance, you can inspect the compiled source code yourself to make sure!

Short answer: 99.99% safe to use.

Unlike other GBF-related extensions, Cypher does not directly modify, interact, or communicate with the game in any way whatsoever. This is important to stress, because that is how anti-cheat flags are triggered — and why other extensions were banned in the past.

Cypher only passively listens to network data that your browser is receiving in order to run the game in the first place. Because of how it operates, this extension is essentially invisible and does not trigger anti-cheat false flags. To date, no Cypher user has been mistakenly caught by banwaves, including the infamous one that took down the other *popular* extension.

That said, ANY extension that's installed is technically against ToS (including ad-blockers!). So mandatory disclaimer: "Use at your own risk!"

Yes, of course it's free to use — no catch! Cypher has been privately used and distributed for over a year before the decision was made to go fully public. The hope is that Cypher can prove to be a useful tool for everyone — especially theorycrafters!

First, make sure to install the extension correctly by following the download guide above. After installing the extension, you should see a new button next to your Chrome address bar or in the menu. Once GBF is running, click the icon to launch Cypher, and it will automatically start working.

Make sure to launch Cypher while your GBF window is active, otherwise Cypher can't find your game instance. If the extension is launched in the middle of a raid, you must refresh your GBF window for it to start working.

To export a raid parse, simply hit the export option in the menu and it will download the currently selected raid as a file. To import a raid parse, drag and drop a file over the Cypher window.
